Bee Problem

Everyday I take my son on a walk when I get home. Well we ran into some un-invited guests on our path. Bees.. These guys were not there Monday, so in two days they built this large hive on a branch that hangs over the sidewalk we travel on. I hope pest control moves them some place else by tomorrow.

  1. Boy, and you thought canals were dangerous! I would run away...fast! Be careful on your walks.

  3. Are they aggressive toward people? Hopefully they get protected. The world would be nothing without the bees.

  6. That's a beautiful looking swarm. I wonder if they're Africanized, or potentially hybrids (a kind of European and African honey bee mix). I run a bee removal service in Florida called Alltek Bee Removal LLC (you can fin us at http://beeremovalsecrets.com ). We try to save as many swarms as we can to later be recycled into commercial beekeeping outfits. My crew and I are finding it harder and harder to find nice full sized European swarms these days. I hope that's not the case in your neck of the woods. It would be a pity not to get these girls out in the field making honey and pollinating crops.
