Welcome to a site on the web dedicated to showing everything there is about the Memphis and the surrounding region. Join us hopefully everyday as the authors on the blog bring you everything from the beautiful to the ugliest our region has to offer.
Boy, and you thought canals were dangerous! I would run away...fast! Be careful on your walks.
ReplyDeleteI was just alerted CNN is going to use my picture.
ReplyDeleteAre they aggressive toward people? Hopefully they get protected. The world would be nothing without the bees.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Mr. Famous, congrats!

Great picture. Scary.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful looking swarm. I wonder if they're Africanized, or potentially hybrids (a kind of European and African honey bee mix). I run a bee removal service in Florida called Alltek Bee Removal LLC (you can fin us at http://beeremovalsecrets.com ). We try to save as many swarms as we can to later be recycled into commercial beekeeping outfits. My crew and I are finding it harder and harder to find nice full sized European swarms these days. I hope that's not the case in your neck of the woods. It would be a pity not to get these girls out in the field making honey and pollinating crops.
